Thank you for exploring my website. Let
me share some information about my approaches to therapy to help you
in your search for a therapist.
I began my private practice in Fort Worth in
1997. As a therapist, I provide individuals with the tools they
need
to bring about the life
changes they desire. Therapy provides a catalyst for change and can
occur in many settings.
Individual therapy helps people identify personal
strengths which can empower them to attain incremental goals
to create the life they want. Interactive therapy helps people transcend
self-limiting perceptions
and discover new possibilities for themselves and their relationships
with others.
Couples and family therapy entails problems which
are relational in nature. Through a focused, interactive process,
individuals learn to move from rigidly held positions to more flexible
ones. The awareness and
recognition of self-defeating behaviors or destructive generational
patterns can be used to redefine patterns and behaviors, leading the
individuals to meaningful, intimate and healthy relationships.
Group therapy is an effective tool to increase
awareness of newly acquired insights and their impact on others
in a safe and nurturing setting. Confidence will more easily follow
an individual who has had the
opportunity to practice their newly recognized skills, which might at
first feel awkward, with feedback from a supportive group mediated by
a trained therapist.
Hypnosis is a vehicle of positive psychology.
It helps create the circumstances that catalyze new possibilities. Hypnosis
is a naturally occurring state of subconsciousness which may be used
to amplify awareness of a selected topic. It allows the individual to
step outside of his or her typical experience of themselves and allow
new meanings to take root.
Body-centered psychotherapy is a dynamic system
for the integration of
body, mind, emotions and spirit. It combines verbal expression with
gentle touch to support and bypass thought patterns that restrict
intuition and feelings.
I am devoted to helping you find a psychological,
emotional, mental and
spiritual balance to live more fully in your true self.

My commitment to you:
My focus is to help you explore your innermost self in a safe and comfortable
environment. We are complex beings made up of many parts, physical, emotional,
spiritual, interpersonal and mental. I find it essential to explore all
of these aspects in a therapeutic relationship. My goal is not to limit
you to a psychological understanding of yourself; instead, it is to help
you move beyond the limitations of the ego into a deeper realm of selfhood.
My spiritual orientation is in the Christian tradition; however, I honor
all faiths and respect your path to move into your truer self. Please
e-mail or call me with any
questions you may have about my approach to therapy.
